The Rainbow Symphony Orchestra (RSO), founded in 1996 by two enthusiastic musicians, Ronan Grippay and Jean-Etienne Ottenhof, has been performing since April 2002.
It attracts about sixty amateur and professional musicians. It gives amateur musicians an opportunity to keep on practising their instrument with an ambitious aim to produce quality music.
It will perform regularly in Paris but also in France and abroad. Quality and work are the requirements for all musicians that want to join the orchestra.

The main goal of the RSO is to bring people, by its music, its openness and its visibility, to accept the differences of sexual orientation. For that reason, the RSO is an orchestra which is open to everybody, even to non-musicians. Everyone can join, as long as they have belief in this cause.

Since the first concerts, John Dawkins has been the orchestra's Conductor and Director of music. The orchestra gains its energy from him, which is shared in turn with the audience.
